Due to its past reputation, some people see and think about Slough as a non-significant area to invest in property in the UK - perhaps because it’s not situated in the heart of London. However, the town centre urban renewal and new developments are underway and changing Slough forever.
Slough is enjoying significant rejuvenation and renewal and will soon become the envy of many other towns. Slough Urban Renewal project is committed to making this region one of the best places to invest in property by developing iconic buildings, improving schools, and creating leisure facilities that can attract professionals, professionals and young families.

Right in the Centre of Slough, sits the Old Library. Plans and designs have been made to transform this Old Library into two ultra-modern Marriot Hotels. The plan projects that the new structure will have about 4,000 sq ft retail and restaurant space, as well as 64 apartments.
One of the two new hotels that will replace the Old Library flaunts the Thunderbirds theme, bringing back the classic memories of the show that was filmed in Slough Trading Estate.
Currently, works are ongoing on the site and are projected to be complete by late 2020 or early 2021.
The Milestone, Slough
Just like the name implies, this stands out as one of the first stages in the Slough regeneration project. This development flaunts modern creativity and has replaced an area of land owned by the council. The Milestone features 73 new homes which were launched in 2016. Currently, they are fully occupied and have taken the town’s activities up a notch.
Stoke Wharf

This coming development will be in three areas of the site. The land is owned by Canala and river trust, Bowyer Playing Fields, and a builder’s merchant. When the plans are submitted and the project executed, it will skyrocket the aesthetics of Slough as well as its residential activities.

The new project will feature more beautiful homes, making Slough stand out as one of the best areas to invest in property in the UK. In fact Slough has been voted the ‘Best Place to Live & Work’ two years running by Glassdoor.
The local council plans to build about 197 homes with about 134 being two or three-bedroom apartments for families. They are likely to take charge of the project through a Compulsory Purchase.
