My add friend button is changed to the follow button

When i go to add friends and search a name of any one, i always see the follow button [♡] instead of the add friend button [+]. I'm not sure if its possibly my setting thats causing this, but even if its the setting its very very hard what u want to find cuz the setting isnt easily accesible. Pls help me out, i dont want to follow people, all i want is to add friend

It is new new system so many people have already said they don't like it me personally I hate it if u haven't tried to delete anyone try bc there is now a cool down for it n that's if it works the new system is really buggy they need to put this new friend system to rest bc it where it belongs I don't know who in the world thought this was a good change but it's not it sucks it's annoying n also not effective the only plus to the system is the increase at how many friends u can have but even then this system still sucks
