Mods and Devs,

I have a question for y'all. This is for NA servers and I think it'll also affect the whole community. So, there's been an issue here in NA about net neutrality. If they successfully repeal Net Neutrality, are we gonna be affected too? Do we need to pay monthly subsciption for our games?

For those who don't know Net Neutrality,It is the basic principle that prohibits internet service providers like AT&T, Comcast and Verizon from speeding up, slowing down or blocking any content, applications or websites you want to use. In laymans term, ISPs like Verizon or Comcast gives out bundles for services or apps we want to use. That's like paying additional $5.00/ month for facebook and snapchat. $10.00/ month for NEtflix, and ither streaming sites.


And what about games? Is this gonna be a pay to play situation? Please share your thoughts.


PS: Here's an example of  repealing Net Neutrality.

I would guess (hope) not, at least not pay for this single game each month, maybe a $5 for google play to play all of your mobile games each month......
This whole thing is really confusing......

Just hope the court overturns the repeal. I’m not sure how it would affect data but I imagine it would block site addresses unless you pay for let’s say a custom package because there are lots of websites like this that are not in those categories. I’m already sick of the lag from updates in ML and these greedy ISPs are making it worse.

Yes, probably. The public is very vocal against it right now so the Congress will probably get their hands into it. I really don’t wanna pay for an extra service. We can’t even watch Youtube for free if that’s the case. I think Moontoon will lose a lot of its NA players and that will definitely hurt them.

It will likely be $5 for google play but knowing Apple/Ios and how they work, it’s gonna be too damn high for me.

They had 3-2 voting yesterday in favor of the repeal but it's far from final yet.
