A Guide Through Time

Digger or Diggie is the newly released Support Hero in Mobile Legends. This owl majors in the study of time and has learned skills that specialize in creating zone pressure and catching enemies! While he doesn’t do any damage using his Ult, it can really give his teammates the needed boost to run or even fight back. Another unique thing about Diggie is that he doesn’t really die! Diggie simply reverts time and turn himself back into Eggie to continue his support for his teammates. Let’s take a look at his skills below! (Note: I have reworded the skills instead of using the MLBB Description).

1.0       SKILL SET

Passive: Young Again
Diggie “cheats death” by reversing time, turning into an untargetable Eggie and receive new sets of Egg Skills. Eggie grants vision and continue to provide aura to support his allies. Eggie will return to his owl form when the “death counter” is up.

Skill 1: Time Bomb
Diggie throws a Bomb in the targeted area that ticks for 4s and slowing enemies before exploding. The bomb damage increases with time and becomes a stun (1.2s) if it is charged for more than 2s. (Bomb can be triggered early by reactivating the skill)

Cast Type       : Area Selection, Reactivate with Tap
Cooldown       : 8s
Immediate      : 300/360/420/480/540/600 (+0.4 AP)
Full Charge     : 750/900/1050/1200/1350/1500 (+1.0AP)

Diggie’s main Damage Tool that has many uses. The bombs leave a slow zone and also indicate a “Danger Zone” to the enemy, effectively putting out Zone Pressure. If ignored, the result would be a high burst damage followed by a stun. Skill 1 is also a very effective wave clearing tool if Diggie builds some AP items. Max this skill first before Skill 2 as it is your main damage source.

Skill 2: Reverse Time
Diggie lays a time lasso around an enemy, dealing 10 magic damage and slowing the target. Upon reaching 3s or breaking the tether, target will be pulled back into the set location and take damage.

Comments
Diggie’s Signature catch move, very effective in catching enemies and pulling them back in place. A very good counter against Mobile champions like Karrie, Karina, Kagura, Lancelot, Harley and the infamous Fanny. The first Proc of “10” magic damage seems negligible but is actually very useful; I will touch on this in the Tips and Tricks section below. Max this skill last as it is mainly a utility skill.

Ultimate: Time Journey

Diggie protects his allies using time magic, giving a surge of movement speed, granting shield upon casting that last for 5 secs while also creating a safe zone around him for 2.5 second, granting immunity to CC.

Comments
The 1 skill that makes the enemies really hates you. Just when the Franco laughs when he hooked your ally, the Saber that pinned your Carry or the Aurora that smirks as she throws a giant snowball down on your entire team; Tap on your Ult and it’s like nothing ever happened. Diggie’s Ulti is very effective in team fights, absorbing damage, giving a small surge of movement speed and also immune to CC!! You will hardly ever lose team fights with Diggie if you have decent teammates. Level this skill whenever you can as the shield does get significantly better.

2.0       ITEM BUILD
Before I get into my Item build, I must clarify 1 thing. Although certain items work in Diggie’s Egg form it is not recommended for you to suit your build around it. I’ve seen Diggie Players build Full On Aura set, ie. Dominance Ice, Bulwark, Cursed Helm, Disaster Truncheon & Blade of 7 Seas. Yes, these items work on Eggie but you are missing out on Diggie’s gameplay if you focus the build on Eggie.

Side note, Cursed Helm’s passive is mostly wasted in Owl form and only does little damage to enemies unless you build full Tank/HP and get near the enemies. I don't recommend building it unless you really like that kind of playstyle.

Build Path A (Max CD Support)

This build focuses on getting FULL CDR of 40% so you can spam your skill when they are off cooldown. It is a very effective build that works best if you know your teammates are reliable as we are focusing mainly on giving auras and disrupting the enemies. The Items are also cheaper than the others so there’s hope for you to get them all if the game drags on.

Build Path B (Good CD Waveclear)

If your team is struggling with wave clear/damage, you will want to switch it up and get some damage yourself. Although the bomb damage is unreliable during fastpaced team fights, Diggie can still wave clear effectively with enough Magic Power.

Emblem & Spell
Roamer Emblem Set should be used for the movement speed bonus. You can select Flicker as the safe measure or opt for petrify to make plays.

3.0       DIGGIE TIPS AND TRICKS
You know the skills, you know the builds now let’s see how we should put them to use!

Picking Diggie
Diggie pretty much fits in any team comp, even one without a tank as you are very reliable in negating CC and absorbing damage with the ult. You however should not pick Diggie when your team already has a few heroes that are weak in damage output. Examples of such cases are double tanks, or other Supports are already chosen. If you see multiple CC champions on the enemy team, tell your team early that you will be playing Diggie and ask them to kindly pick something with strong DPS output.

Play Safe!
Eggie is cute and all but you want to be Diggie most of the time to be more useful to your team. Diggie is also a very squishy support that can literally die by eating a Lancelot’s Ult-Triangle Slash combo. Position wisely and play from the backline.

Early Game Laning
Always head to the Turtle Lane, preferably as a Tri-lane with another CC hero like Aurora/Eudora and a Tank. This gives a very good early lane dominance, zone out the enemy by using your bomb, make them make mistakes in positioning, catch them with Lasso then pray that you teammate follow up nicely. If done correctly, the turret and turtle should easily be in your pocket.

Spam “Gather”
Okay, not really but as a team, you’re unstoppable. Get the momentum going, always bewith the team. Locate the useful carry that you can rely on, stick with him/her till the end of time. Do not fear AOE ults like Kagura’s Umbrella/Aurora’s Ice, your Ult negates them.

Playing Eggie (Basics)
As what most other Diggie player does, spin around and damage your enemies if you have died in a team fight. Make sure you hit them at least once so you get the assist when they die. Eggie continues to earn Gold while in egg form, stay in lane to absorb those sweet gold instead of trolling in enemy jungle. Oh yeah, be wary of when you’re reverting to owl form. You don’t want to play as Eggie forever.

Playing Eggie (Advance)
Grant Vision to your allies during team fights by staying in the grass, you only need to hit the enemy once to get the assist, stay in the grass after that to provide vision. Roam to other lanes to provide distraction/allow your minion to start slow push by giving them the Bulwark Aura. This might potentially buy enough time for your team to get the Lord.

1 – 2 or 2 – 1 Combo?
In lane, when you’re just zoning and harassing, use the 1-2 combo to zone enemies and make them feel the threat. Place the Bomb on Creep wave/slightly behind the creep wave so your enemies have to make bigger turns to get access to your creep. Catch them with 2 whenever possible.

When you are catching an enemy, use 2-1 instead. Using your superb movement speed from the build, run until you can catch the enemy with skill 2 then pop your bomb in front of the enemy, making them harder to escape. This becomes even stickier once you get Ice Queen Wand.

Proc of Skill 2
10-damage-proc of skill 2 is actually designed by the developer for us to put item effects on the enemies. Disaster Truncheon, Ice Queen Wand & Necklace of Endurance all Proc with that 10-damage-hit so yeah, use that to your advantage.

4.0       THE END
This marks the end of my Guide; I hope you liked it and have learned something from my experience. I know it is still not the most welcomed Hero during picks right now but Diggie is unexpectedly useful and if you play well, your ally will really thank you for it. Help me to make a good impression for Diggie by snaring your enemies, stunning them and saving your allies from Ice, Hooks and Umbrellas.

BACKGROUD STORY
Scholars and researchers from around the world gathered in the town of Antoinerei, the place where Diggie is usually ignored. Many people do not notice Diggie because of the small size. Until one day they did research in Chronoscience, they realized that Diggie really liked the clock. The scholars and researchers finally believe that in this clock kept many secrets.

Diggie has many abilities, such as controlling time and releasing his friends from the physical shackles of his time and carrying them with him. You need to know also that this cute hero will become creepy when he gets angry.

Digger Skills

Skill 1: Time Bomb
Throw an alarm clock in the targeted direction, it will explode after a set amount of X time, dealing X magical damage in an area and sunning, damage scales with tick time (during ticking, tap again to immediately detonate the bomb, if the bomb is detonated early, it will only slow instead of stunning).

Skill 2: Reverse Time
Lock onto the target dealing magical damage and slowing, later the target will be pulled back into the set location and dealt X magical damage. If the enemy gets too far away, they will immediately be pulled into the set location and be damaged.

Ultimate: Time Journey
For a period of X time, surrounding allies will be immune to crowd control. During the casting, surrounding allies will be granted a temporary shield.

Passive: Young Again
Time will reverse after death and Diggie will become an egg, the movement will be possible and Digger will receive all new chick Abilities. The egg form cannot be targeted, after a period of time, Digger will revive.

Egg Mode Skills:

Skill 1: Disdain
Displays disdain at the enemy, dealing a small amount of damage to surrounding enemies while letting out anger.

Skill 2: Egg Dance
Happily dances his hometown jig, dealing a small amount of damage enemies and focuses them to stay and watch.

Skill 3: Victory Prayers
Rolls on the ground praying for the enemy's base to explode immediately, legends say that this type of action has 0% success rate.

I don't know if this will be worth it or not but best of luck playing with it I guess it will help a lot in the team.And the egg mode skills are just annoying.

Digger The Timekeeper Skills Combo Reccomendation

Now guys, there’s a combo that makes use of your first and second skill. Basically you will want to make sure that your first skill hits right? Sure you can trigger the clock to blow up right away but that won’t damage much and won’t have a stun effect.

Now, Right after using your first skill you must immediately use your second skill to hold the opponent in place. That means you need to make sure you’re in range for your second skill. Since the range of your first skill is much bigger. The combo works because right after the opponent gets pulled back, it would be the same time your clock would explode. More or less. Remember guys, first skill and then second skill immediately. If you use the second skill first then the opponent would be pulled back too early and have a chance to dodge your exploding alarm clock. Of course that won’t always be the case, it all depends on the movement of your opponent. But this is the most basic combo to make sure your first skill hits.

Your ultimate is really great in team fights guys. You can definitely save an ally that’s about to die. Also the crowd control immunity can be a great help for your team. Based from the games that I’ve played with Digger, I think the amount of shield he provides is more or less like the Athena’s shield.

Good Allies to Have

In general allies who can help you set up your 1st skill for a stun or allies who can make use of your 2nd skill for their own setup are good ones to have when you are playing Digger.

Grock can stop enemies running away from your bomb by using his wall;
Tigreal can group up many enemies on top of your bomb thanks to his 2nd skill and ultimate;
Ruby can pull and stun many enemies on your bomb;
Franco can hook and use ultimate on one of your bombs to disable an enemy for a very long time.


Heroes Digger Counter

Digger counters heroes with big AOE CC skills thanks to his ultimate being able to immediately clear or even avoid, if properly timed, that CC. It doesn't necessarily have to be AOE CC though, even heroes with single target CC can have a hard time against him.

He can completely negate the ultimate of heroes like: Minotaur, Aurora, Saber, Chou, etc.
He is also good versus heroes who lack high mobility because that makes it easier for him to set up his 1st skill stun.


Heroes who Counter Digger

Heroes with high mobility kind of counter Digger because they make it very hard to hit 1st skill stun on them. It's not really a hard counter but in general heroes with “dashes” and similar skills can partially negate your skillset.


Digger The Timekeeper Pros & Cons

Pros:
-Mobile hero
-Lots of slows
-Counters enemy CC every 60s (not including CDR items), and also gives the team a shield
-Great disruption skills against enemies that can dash, blink, flicker, pop away.
-Provides the team a walking ward if dead, and prevents enemies to recall.
-Can be built tanky

Cons:

-No benefit from the passive if you're alive.
-Requires good targetting for skills, and alertness for ult.
-May feed the whole enemy team if went afk in the middle of the map
-Needs team coordination, and is very team dependent (well, he is a support)

Gear Suggestion


Anyways guys, this is the build. Now, at first, I was using the Enchanted Talisman as my first item for the 20% CD reduction, but I felt like the Unique Passive of the Enchanted Talisman was such a waste on Digger since he doesn’t really run out of mana. Btw guys, the Unique passive of the Enchanted Talisman lets you regen your Mana faster.


Now, on the games that I’ve played I felt that the Ice Queen Wand and Calamity Reaper was a lot better. Calamity Reaper for the 10% CD reduction, also it enables you to harass your opponents in the early games with your skills and basic attacks. Calamity Reaper let’s you do 120% magic attack as true damage every time you do a basic attack right after you use a skill. Then Ice Queen Wand to slow down your enemies once you’ve hit them with a skill. The effect can stack up to two times. It’s really perfect for your second skill guys. Since this prevents your opponent from escaping your second skill and first skill. With Digger, it’s really important that you time your skills perfectly for it to hit, and this item guys, really helps a lot on that aspect.

Now, on a running opponent guys, you’re combo is usually second skill and then first skill. Got that guys? Second skill, and then first skill on a running opponent. Now, the first hit on your second skill already has a slow down effect, but with the Ice Queen Wand they get slowed a lot more, way more. Now once they get pulled back, they get hit again for the second time, this time, your skill doesn’t provide any slow down effect, but you’ll still have a slow down effect because of the Ice Queen Wand. All this slow effect guys, will help you hit your opponent with your first skill.

As they run trying to escape from your second skill, your Alarm Clock Bomb is already ticking and would explode just on time before they could run. Remember guys the Ice Queen Wand stacks up to two times so that’s basically 30% slow.

Now the Magic shoes guys is for the 10% cooldown reduction. The cooldown effects is really for your ultimate guys, Like I said on my other Digger videos, your ultimate is the life line of your team mates and yours. I have saved my team mates in certain deaths countless of times in clashes with my ultimate. Also, the set up of your opponents really gets messed up when you place your first skill right in the middle of the clash. Just imagine your bomb exploding at the middle of the clash guys, even if they don’t get caught, they waste their time by trying to avoid the ticking bomb. This Freaking Egg guys, is really great to have in team Clashes.

Next up is Athena’s Shield guys. You’d really want this item since you will be relying on the shield a lot. Your HP is ridiculously small guys, you can even notice it at how much the Shield compares to your HP. Athena’s shield also provides HP and Magic resistance so that’s great for the squishy Digger.

Next Item guys is immortality, or Glowing Wand. Glowing Wand is great to provide additional damage through its burning effect whenever your skills hit. I use Glowing Wand when I’m a bit confident on our current match. But when we’re in a bit of disadvantage I go for Immortality. Also guys, if you have your ultimate up when you revive with Immortality, then you have a high chance of survining.

Next up is the last item guys, now, to be honest, I rarely had the chance to test the last item and I really don’t wanna recommend an item that I haven’t tested on a particular hero. Now to be honest guys, I enjoyed the marksman build better on Digger, but this is a more stable build and is worthy of the Ranked games. That’s it guys, thanks!

Guide to DIGGER The Timekeeper






Hero Background


Scholars and researchers from around the world gathered in the town of Antoinerei, the place where Diggie is usually ignored. Many people do not notice Diggie because of the small size. Until one day they did research in Chronoscience, they realized that Diggie really liked the clock. The scholars and researchers finally believe that in this clock kept many secrets.

Cost: 24,000 bp/499 diamonds



Digger Skills

Skill 1: Time Bomb

Throw an alarm clock in the targeted direction, it will explode after a set amount of X time, dealing X magical damage in an area and sunning, damage scales with tick time (during ticking, tap again to immediately detonate the bomb, if the bomb is detonated early, it will only slow instead of stunning).

Skill 2: Reverse Time

Lock onto the target dealing magical damage and slowing, later the target will be pulled back into the set location and dealt X magical damage. If the enemy gets too far away, they will immediately be pulled into the set location and be damaged.

Ultimate: Time Journey

For a period of X time, surrounding allies will be immune to crowd control. During the casting, surrounding allies will be granted a temporary shield.

Passive: Young Again
Time will reverse after death and Diggie will become an egg, the movement will be possible and Digger will receive all new chick Abilities. The egg form cannot be targeted, after a period of time, Digger will revive.

Egg Mode Skills:

Displays disdain at the enemy, dealing a small amount of damage to surrounding enemies while letting out anger.

Skill 2: Egg Dance

Quick Guide: Digger



Digger Background

-Skill Tips and Combos

1) 1st Skill is one of the best zoning abilities in the game, it also has a very low downtime so pretty much you should always have a bomb out ready to explode forcing enemies to change paths, covering your team's retreat, blocking an enemy escape, etc.
2) 2nd Skill is nice to use in combination with your 1st skill or in general your allies can make good use of it because they know the position where the enemy will be pulled back.

3) The Ultimate is one of the best support skills in the game giving your team a big AOE Purify and a pretty good shield. Use it to anticipate big enemy CC or even just use it for the shield effect to save your allies. Just try to stay away from the enemy CC so if your allies get caught you are immediately ready to use it to save them.

4) The Passive is a way to keep you useful even if you are dead. Scout enemies revealing their location to your team, stop their Recall or Regeneration, if they are very low you might even be able to kill them. Watch out for your respawn time so you don't respawn in a bad place, try to respawn near the action so you are immediately ready to help.

5) The combo I use to have a higher chance to set up my 1st skill stun on a hero is: Throw bomb on top of an enemy hero or where he is about to walk, immediately use 2nd skill when he is on top of the bomb, this way you have a good chance for the enemy to be teleported back on top of the bomb stun.

You can also use 2nd skill and then throw the bomb on top of the “teleport location” but this usually gives the enemy a better opportunity to avoid the stun.


-Skill Leveling Order


I like maxing out 1st skill for the damage increase, it helps clearing out minion waves faster and it also serves as a better nuke when you hit enemies with it. 2nd Skill is already fine with one point because you mostly use it for its utility.

-Battleground Spells
Flicker: Digger doesn't have a direct mobility skill so Flicker is nice to have in those situation where you might need that instant mobility. You can use it to escape or if you are far away you can use it to get closer to your allies to save them with your ultimate, etc.


Healing Spell: If you haven't unlocked Flicker then you can use this Spell to have another burst heal on top of the shield from your ultimate to keep your allies alive.


-Equipment
1st Item - Magic Shoes: Early Mov. Speed and cheap 10% CDR.

2nd Item - Enchanted Talisman: Good Magic Power, some HP, high 20% CDR and very high Mana Regen so we will never run out. Very good item which will allow us to spam our skills for the rest of the game thanks to the high cdr and mana regen provided.

3rd Item - Athena's Shield: High HP and Magic RES, good HP Regen. The Passive periodically gives us a very strong defensive Shield making us a lot more durable.

4th Item - Thunder Belt: High HP and Mana, Good Armor and HP Regen, it also gives a bit of Magic Power. The Passive gives us an additional strong slow giving us more utility. The slow can help keeping enemies in range of our bomb and stuff like that.

5th Item - Courage Bulwark: Good HP and very high HP Regen. The Passive increases Damage and Defense of allies near us (it will also buff us of course) by 10% and also makes our minions more resistant to Turret Damage. We will also be able to give this Buff to our allies even if we are dead.

6th Item - Necklace of Durance: Good Magic Damage, some HP and 5% CDR (bringing you to the 40% or close to it, it depends on your Emblem Set Level). The Passive reduces enemy Regen/Lifesteal by 50% when we damage them with our skills adding some more utility to our skills.

Starting Item: 250g Boots and 1x Magic Necklace right after that.

Note: The first 4 items of this build are core, you can try different combinations with the last 2 items.

Gear Suggestion


Support Build



This build focuses on getting FULL CDR of 40% so you can spam your skill when theyare off cooldown. It is a very effective build that works best if you know yourteammates are reliable as we are focusing mainly on giving auras and disrupting the enemies. The Items are also cheaper than the others so there’s hope for you to get them all if the game drags on.
