Lancelot hails from the Baroque family in the Land of Dawn, where at a young age he showed exquisite talent in the art of fencing, garnering the praise of the masses, so much so that he became lost in the admiration. When the magical tribes of the attacked, Lancelot, who had just awoken from a drunken stupor, arrogantly attacked them alone. After winning a few battles, he dropped his guard and pursued the remaining forces in arrogance but soon the magical tribes regrouped and defeated him within the mountains. After coming in contact with Princess Odette, he soon became enamored with her purity and also soon understood how wrong he was to be so arrogant and shallow in the past. When he was recovering at the Swan Castle, Lancelot soon realized the magical potential of the Regina family, he was able to integrate it into his fencing culminating in the shadow step maneuver. Now he once again sets foot in the fighting right to test his new skills.
Skill Build
Soul Cutter – For every 10 seconds, Lancelot will complete the fencing move ‘surgical promise’, his next basic attack will make the target defenseless, Lancelot will deal an extra 20% damage to defenseless enemies. This will give mark to your target to make your skill effective. Make sure to use this with precision. Do a mark on the target you want to take down. Basically on squishy hero such as marksman and mage.
Puncture – Charges towards the targeted direction dealing 100 points of the target will be etched with a sword mark, if the target hit did not have sword mark then Puncture’s cooldown will refresh. This will be your initiating skill so you can get closer to your target with ease. Don’t forget that this hero has a major disadvantage on CC make sure that upon using this skill your next attack is ready for combo. Also you need a better understanding on the situation as this will lead you death as you are initiator as well as squishy at the same time unlike with typical tanky initiator. Prioritize leveling this skill up next to your ultimate.
Thorned Rose – Performs an amazing sword fighting technique within an area, an enemy may be struck a maximum of three times for 250 points of physical damage, enemies hit three consecutive times will be slowed for 70%. This is the only CC in your skill so make sure to use it wisely. If you get confronted and you know that you can get a skill without using this skill, don’t waste and reserve it for more important situation. Just save this skill if your opponent will make a distance from you.
Phantom Execution – After a short period of charging, Lancelot performs a executioner’s strike in a forward direction, he is invincible throughout the process, dealing 400 points of physical damage to his enemies. As name says this is about killing your target. In the other view, making your invincible in fight can also use this skill as form of defense. You can dodge damage with this skill with proper execution. As what I mentioned above, Lancelot is squishy for being initiator. And from this expect that you will get focused fire most of the time as you are also dangerous opponent that can zone out mage and marksman easily. With the invincibility you will get from your ultimate, you can use it to do your objective in game.
Item Build
Corrosion Scythe – + 30 Phsyical Attack / +1000 HP / +20 Armor / Unique Passive – Corrosion: Basic attacks lower the target’s attack speed by 10% / Unique Passive – Scour: Basic attacks have a 50% chance of lowering the target’s movement speed by 35%. Almost year of playing Mobile Legends, I learned that the best thing to consider in gearing up your hero is to counter it’s weaknesses rather excelling their best kit in game. If you are squishy build tank, if you have a disadvantage in CC go for slow-effect item and so on. For the case of Lancelot, I go for Corrosion Scythe that gives HP and defense. The best of it is the passive that will make your his target a helpless pray. Lowering the attack speed by 10% gives a major debuffs to marksman. In addition it will also decrease your target’s movement speed. From the cons of this hero, you have a poor CC and squishy this item will resolve his weaknesses.
Swift Boots – Unique: +15% attack speed / Unique: +40 Movement speed. It is always a big decision for me if I will get this boot or go for rapid boots. The answer is based on your playstyle. If your team needs your presence on early game to roam, go for rapid boots. If you to dominate your lane go for Swift Boots as the basic gear. Speaking on playing with the team. Lancelot is poor on that. And for you to be effective for your team, the best thing you can do is to roam and assist your teammate into 2v1 engagement.
Haas’s Claws – + 70 Phyiscal Attack / Unique: +20% Lifesteal / Unique Passive – Instanity: When Hp drops below 40%, the hero will receive an extra 10% physical lifesteal. This will improve your sustain in battle which is one of your weaknesses. I go Haas’s Claw over Bloodlust Axe as I want to build Lancelot relies on basic attack in late game. To make him unstoppable in late game, you need to extend his damage away from cooldown limitation. Going up for Bloodlust Axe you are into his ability that can be easily limit by cooldown. Haas’s Claws will gives you better sustain with Lifesteal that is based from your basic attack which is your true arsenal in late game.
Malefic Roar – +60 Physical Attack / Unique: +40% Physical penetration / Unique Passive – Armor Buster: Basic attack will ignore 20% of a defense turret’s defensive armor. Good item against tank. Since you will get no problem with squishy opponent, now you need to embrace your hero too against tank that will interfere to your objective. This item is the best gear against tank as well as for turret.
Dominance Ice – +500 Mana / +70 Armor / +5% Crit Chance Reduction / Unique: 15% cooldown reduction / Unique Passive – Arctic Cold: Lowers movement speed by 5% and lowers attack speed for nearby enemy heroes. Armor, cooldown reduction, and another movement speed deduction against your opponent. You have a poor teamfight presence but with item that will aid your teammate, I’m very sure that your Lancelot will bring a different perspective for your teammate.
Immortality – +800 HP / +40 Magic resistance / Unique Passive-Immortal: Resurrect in 2 seconds after dying and get 15% HP and a shield that can absorb 300 – 1000 points of damage. Shield last for 3 seconds. Cooldown for this effect is 180 seconds. End game item.
