Lore/Background
Lancelot hails from the Baroque family in the Land of Dawn, where at a young age he showed exquisite talent in the art of fencing, garnering the praise of the masses, so much so that he became lost in the admiration. When the magical tribes of the attacked, Lancelot, who had just awoken from a drunken stupor, arrogantly attacked them alone. After winning a few battles, he dropped his guard and pursued the remaining forces in arrogance but soon the magical tribes regrouped and defeated him within the mountains. After coming in contact with Princess Odette, he soon became enamoured with her purity and also soon understood how wrong he was to be so arrogant and shallow in the past. When he was recovering at the Swan Castle, Lancelot soon realised the magical potential of the Regina family, he was able to integrate it into his fencing, culminating in the shadow step maneuver. Now he once again sets foot in the fighting ring to test his new skills.
SKILLS
Skill 1: [Puncture]-- Charges towards the targeted direction dealing physical damage, the target will be etched with a sword mark, if the target hit did not have a sword mark then Puncture's cooldown will refresh.
Skill 2: [Thorned Rose]-- Performs an amazing sword fighting technique within an area, an enemy may be struck a maximum of three times for physical damage, enemies hit three consecutive times will be slowed..
Ultimate: [Phantom Execution]-- After a short period of charging, Lancelot performs a executioner's strike in a forward direction, he is invincible throughout the process, dealing physical damage to his enemies.
Passive: [Soul Cutter]-- Every few seconds Lancelot will complete the fencing move 'surgical promise', his next basic attack will make the target defenceless, Lancelot will deal 20% damage to defenceless enemies
Build, Battle Spell + Explanation
This is my build and a short explanation to why I chose these items:
Start with tier 2 jungle item (either nimble blade or pillager's axe) and sell after acquiring 5th item.
Bloodlust Axe - Great starting item for many assassins. You get better sustain + slight cooldown.
Magic Boots - More cooldown for a cool hero(thank you thank you, I'm here all night... ).
Hunter Strike - Extra physical attack! Extra cooldown! Great passive to secure kill! What's there not to love?
Endless Battle - More hp, mana, and lifesteal (+ a little extra movement speed) for better sustain and gank ability. Passive really makes your auto-attack hurt after skill.
Immortality - About now it's time to be careful of enemy burst, which in late game is usually quite lethal. Resurrection after death is great for Lancelot, as he can immediately burst and possible secure a kill (or two!). Also, who doesn't like more health?
Blade of Despair - Now they got to be careful of your burst (as if they weren't already). More physical attack, a little extra attack speed, this item is pretty standard and self-explanatory.
Battle Spell - retribution, petrify, flicker
Tips and Tricks
- General Tip: You are an assassin, so play like an assassin. Avoid engaging first. Make sure enemy exhausted most CC (CC is also avoidable with Lance's ult and 2nd skill, so remember that when engaging as well!). Remember that even with lifesteal and/or immortality, you are still very squishy and can be easily bursted if not careful.
- Clear minion waves: Lancelot's damage area of 2nd skill + his overall damage-focused playstyle makes clearing lanes super quick and effortless. Apply the pressure! Keep ganking and clearing lanes.
- Dodge enemy ULTs and CC with skills: Lancelot's 2nd skill and Ult can dodge enemy skills! Much like Chou, try to anticipate when enemy is using skill, and dodge the attack then counterattack and win!
- Skill 1, Skill 2, Ult: Skill combo, but this is not a strict combo you must follow. Remember you can time skill 2 and ult to dodge CC, so don't rush tapping every skill like a madman
- Attack squishies and high damaging characters: This goes for pretty much every assassin, and lancelot is no different. Your job is to eliminate high damaging heroes from the enemy team. Use hero lock to focus your auto-attack. Drag and aim your skills to make sure you give to most damage to the enemy team.
Have fun! |
