Pros:
-All skills have a movement slow/bind effect, which is not lower than 1s.
-High early game harassment kit
-Can be built tanky, but would lose the burst damage
-Amazing ganking skill set
-Satisfying 5-man ult on teams that stick together.
Cons:
-VERYprone to CC
-Needs a lot of practice with skills 2 (bind) and ult (not to aggressive to die a lot jumping in the middle of teamfights)
-Squishy even with the 30% damage reduction of ult which can easily be cancelled.
-Needs a lot of team coordination if underfed.
-No escape mech on skill kit, would probably need flicker for a battle spell.
-Long CD of skills 2 and 3.
SKILLS
Lakeshore Ambience (Passive):
After a spell is cast, basic attacks will be enhanced with a rebounding sound wave, dealing 144~200 points of magic power damage.
-With a passive like this, you might want to auto attack everytime after you cast a spell. HOWEVER, you do not need to auto attack if there is only one enemy, since the passive will not rebound to anyone else.
Avian Authority (Skill 1): CD: 8s, Mana Cost: 90
Concentrates energy to summon a swan to attack the enemy, dealing 250 poitns of magic power damage, and reducing their movement for 2s.
-Your main burst skill. Cast this whenever the enemy melee hero is trying to last hit a minion. Easy harassment followed up with the auto-attack and your passive, since the enemy is slowed. Be careful when trying to harass ranged heroes with this skill as you might be kited/poked in the process as well.
Blue Nova (Skill 2): CD: 11s, Mana Cost: 90
Fire a magic energy ball forward, dealing magical power damage to enemies hit and binding them for 1s. After the ball reaches its maximum limit or hits a target, two extra balls will strike out to the sides, dealing 200 points of magical damage and binding hit enemies for 1s.
-This skill needs a lot of practice to hit almost all the time. Remember that you can cast this skill sideways (around 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock angle) to hit the enemies trying to stay behind the minions. Cast forward when the enemy has no meatshields like minions/tanks.
Swan Song (Ult): CD: 50s, Mana Cost: 200
Chants a song that summons an energy field to cause continuous damage, each time dealing 200 magic damage to enemies within the area. The field also increases sound wave's rebounding speed and times. Damage taken while Odette's casting this skill will be reduced by 30%. The field slows down enemies in it enormously for 2s at the beginning, then the slow effect decays gradually.
-Cast after the enemy has poured out all their stuns on your tank, OR if you want your teammates with low HP to survive (the slow helps, plus you get to be prioritized with the stuns). VERY EFFECTIVE when there are more enemies in the area, as there will be more rebounding sound waves. Highly recommended to be used while inside a bush.
Recommended Skill Build
Max skill 1 first. Take Ult whenever possible. Max skill 2 last.
Recommended Emblem
Roamer for ganking and chasing potential. Magic Assassin for burst.
However, I recommend roamer since it stacks well with a more teamfight coordinated build, and does well with the slows that proc on each skill hit by Odette.
Recommended Battle Spell
Weaken or Flicker
I HIGHLY recommend taking WEAKEN over Flicker for juking purposes. At the cost of not being able to jump in the middle of teamfights (which you shouldn't do anyways), Weaken can save you from the charges that usually go for the marksmen or mages at the backline (Zilong, Saber, Chou, etc.).
Recommended Item Build 1 (Hybrid Burst/Slower Nice Swan Princess) [Team coordination needed] Recommended with WEAKEN battle spell
(USE THIS BUILD IF YOUR TEAM HAS ENOUGH BURST DAMAGE AND LACKS THE CC/TANKINESS)
-Start with 2 mana necklaces. Odette is kinda mana hungry having a 90 mana cost for both skills. This can later be built into Enchanted Talisman + Ice Queen Wand.
-Buy basic boots. Then immediately upgrade to Rapid Boots, especially if you have Weaken. as a battle spell. With this item and item spell and the slow and bind from your skills, you can play defensively and farm freely with your teammate. OR you can harass the aggressive chargers who try to go for the kill during the early game phase.
-Buy Enchanted Talisman to further enhance your spamming capabilities. More mana regen + less cooldown = more slowing capabilities for your team.
-Buy Ice Queen Wand for your next item. This makes it easier for your skill 2 to hit after the slow from your skill 1 procs on the enemy (the slow stacks). Also, this works well with your ult and keeps the slow always on (since the movement slow effect of your ult diminishes after 2s). Ice Queen Wand also gives a bonus 7% movespeed. Who wouldn't want to be able to run fast while slowing down the enemy?
-Glowing Wand is your next item. That 5% bonus movespeed is too sweet to ignore. +15 Magic Penetrations is also not a joke, combined with the burn effect from this item's unique passive. Imagine your ult melting down the enemy team AND rebounding as they slowly and desperately run away from/towards you trying to fall back or chase you with. Just nope. The more they are chasing you, the more they Melt. Down. Fast.
-Winter Truncheon adds up to your juking potential, and gives you survivability against physical assassins and MMs. Also, at 30% health and below, enemies who hit you get slowed down by a whopping 80%!!! The 50% of magic power damage is also a sweet bonus!
-For your last item, you can buy either of the following: Blood Wings, Ancient Ghostatue, Immortality, Dominance Ice, Courage Bulwark depending on what you/your team needs. Blood Wings if you need more burst, Ancient Ghostatue if you need to stay back while circling around the enemy or baiting them, Immortality if you keep jumping in the middle and dying fast, Dominance Ice if you don't die too fast after jumping in the middle, Courage Bulwark if your whole team is too squishy against the enemy and you all need the additional survivability.
Recommended Item Build 2 (Full Burst Nice Swan Princess) [Lots of farm and safeplay needed] Recommended with FLICKER battle spell
(USE THIS BUILD IF YOUR TEAM LACKS BURST BUT HAS A LOT OF TANKINESS.)
-Start with 2 mana necklaces. Odette is kinda mana hungry having a 90 mana cost for both skills. This can later be built into Lightning Truncheon
-Buy basic boots. Then immediately upgrade to Arcane Boots, making sure you have Flicker as a battle spell. This item allows you to harass even the tanky enemies.
-Buy Lightning Truncheon to further enhance your spamming capabilities. The unique passive of this item also goes well with your own passive. 90 Magic power with decent mana regen is very much appreciated as well.
-Buy Holy Crystal for your next item. Your next +90 Magic Power item with an easy and cheap build path. Upon buying this item, cast skill 2 first before your skill 1. Skill 1 is easier to hit the enemy with, and with the 15% bonus damage from this item's passive, it will hurt. A lot.
-Glowing Wand is your next item. That 5% bonus movespeed is too sweet to ignore. +15 Magic Penetrations is also not a joke, combined with the burn effect from this item's unique passive. -Fleeting Time would be essential in this point, since you're pretty much securing kills with your insane meltdown ult from the bush. +70 Magic Power + 10% CDR + a passive that goes well when you can finish the enemy in a matter of seconds... Insanely nuts!
-For your last item, you can buy Blood Wing. With the amount of Magic Power that you have from your previous items, Blood Wing's passive gives you BULK. Plus the 150 Magic Power makes you want to call for a SAVAGE!!
TIPS AND PLAYSTYLE:
-Never go in the middle of the teamfight if you know the enemies' CC are up and available. Just. No.
-When there is only one enemy, triggering your passive isn't necessary. Just cast skill 1, catch up, skill 2 or ult to slow down and let your team catch them for a sure kill.
-Use your ult to ensure a kill, even when there is only one enemy hero to be hit. It gives a massive 2s slow so it lets your teammates catch up with the fleeing enemy hero.
-Practice binding the enemy with your skill 2 being thrown at a correct angle during the laning phase. It makes the skill range a little more unpredictable for the enemy, even if they're hiding behind minion waves.
-DO NOT MOVE WHILE CASTING ULT unless you see the enemy going for you and your team is far/retreating.
-Your skills 2 and 3 have long cooldown (and high mana cost) and thus, must be used wisely and efficiently.
