Argus - Nightstalker
Price: 32000 BP or 599 Diamonds
Role: Fighter
Background Story:
Argus and Rafela were heavenly angels that descended in to the land of dawn at the same time. One responsible for eradicating evil, the order for eradicating suffering. As Argus went through countless battles, he soon became obsessed with the pursuit of power. One time during a battle he heard the call of an ancient being, Argus soon lost control of his ambitions and became corrupted. He was able to break the seal of the ancient being to summon forth a blazing demonic blade. By sacrificing his own life to the blade, he was able to gain even more power. Now Argus wanders the world, seeking conflict and war so that he can consume more lives with his blade.

Pros:
1. No mana bar, meaning he can use skills and not worry about mana management
2. High damage output
3. Can take on multiple enemies at once with his ultimate
4. Almost unbeatable in 1 v 1
5. Fast at farming
6. Gets stronger the lower his health is.

Cons:
1. Long cooldown on his ultimate.
2. Tower shots don't heal him when he ults.
3. No debuff skills except for a very short, skillshot stun.
4. Has massive disadvantage when against ranged heroes who can distance themselves away quickly.

Skills:
Passive: Warmonger – When Argus takes or deals damage, the demonic blade will be charged (the lower his health is, the faster the blade charges). When fully charged, Argus’ next basic attack will be two quick basic attacks.

This makes Argus a formidable fighter and not someone you can easily mess with at low health. Remember that this passive charges faster when his health is lower, thus making him even more powerful when he is at low health.

Skill 1: Demonic Grip - Argus puts out a demonic hand at a targeted direction, dealing physical damage and stunning an enemy hero or jungle monster, moving to the front of target upon hitting, then he is able to make a quick slash towards the enemy, dealing physical damage. If it doesn’t hit an enemy hero or jungle monster, he pulls himself to the location.

Mainly, this skill is used for ganking an unaware enemy or closing the gap between you and an enemy. However, you can also use this for escaping, target it through walls and you can dash through them.

Skill 2: Meteoric Sword – After a short period of charging, Argus strikes the enemy with his demonic blade, dealing physical damage and cursing enemy for 5 seconds. Moving enemy under curse effect leaves a curse trail that grants Argus extra movement speed while he is moving on the curse trail.

This skill deals a ton of damage and helps you chase an enemy. Use this when an enemy is about to escape.

Ultimate: Eternal Evil – Argus transforms into a fallen angel, becoming immune to death for 5 seconds. 40% of damage dealt under spell effect is converted to Argus’ HP after the duration ends.

This is what makes Argus pretty much apart from other heroes. He can be immune to death, but only for a short duration. Use this when you are about to die or you want to continue fighting the enemy. Remember that Argus won't heal when no enemies attack him, so be sure that enemies will attack you in your ult form.

Emblem and battle spell:
Battle spell: Purify - This is very useful since he often dives in teamfights and it gets him out of heavy debuffs or CC if he is targeted. Also provides another escape option for him other than his Skill 1.

Emblem: Physical/Physical Assassin/Roamer
Build:
1st item: Warrior Boots/Swift Boots/Rapid Boots. It depends on how you play Argus. Get Warrior Boots for some early game tankiness, get Swift Boots if you want extra DPS, or get Rapid Boots if you want a guaranteed chase down on enemies. I'd recommend getting Warrior Boots since it provides the most benefit out of all these 3.

2nd item: Berserker's Fury. This item provides 25% crit chance and 65 physical attack. This item gives Argus a huge boost in his attacks. Not only does it give him more critical strikes, it also boosts his physical attack because of Berserker's Fury's passive, thus increasing his fighting prowess.

3rd item: Scarlet Phantom. This item gives Argus incredibly increased attack speed, and not only that, it also gives him 10% crit chance. It is a priority item since this also works with his passive.

4th item: Another Berserker's Fury. You'd be question "Why?" but it actually benefits him a lot. At the point of the game when you finally get to this item, you'd have 60% crit chance(including this BF), meaning 6 out of your 10 basic attacks would have crits. That's a lot.

5th item: Immortality. This gives you tankiness, second chance of living, AND deceives your enemies. Why would it deceive enemies? Because once you die, enemies would think that your ult was on cooldown, however, it isn't. Upon getting revived by this item, immediately activating your ult would put your enemies at disadvantage since they have used their skills on you before you got revived. This is a core item on Argus.

6th item: Blade of Despair. Self-explanatory. It gives you a lot of physical damage, increasing your fighting capability as Argus.

Strategies:
1. Pick-and-Pop - although it is a name of a basketball strategy, the name can be applied to a common Argus strategy, which involves hiding in a bush, waiting for an enemy and then using his Skill 1, Demonic Grip, on that enemy then proceeding to burst and deal damage as much as you can. This strategy is best used on low health enemies or squishy enemies, preferrably ones that are alone. Be reminded that this strategy is not that effective against full health enemies or tanky enemies.

2. Play dead - This strategy involves Argus(with immortality) doing damage as much as he can to enemies until he dies. Then when he gets revived by immortality, he uses his ult, then either run away if enemies are too much or take on all of them if Argus is able to(or atleast he thinks he can). This strategy is best used when you either have no choice but to fight multiple enemies at once or when enemies have relatively low health.

3. Bait-and-Switch - this basically involves Argus 'trying' to run away from an enemy after fighting, but then facing them when activating his ult. Best used against enemy fighters.

4. Charge - basically the typical strategy for most fighters. Charge in the enemy lines along with your tank, do damage as much as you can, use ult if necessary.

5. Trickstab - involves Argus luring the enemy by using Skill 1 to a bush then using Skill 2 on them when they get close.
Tips:
1. Lane with a burst damage hero or a marksman. This helps you at early game since you are very squishy and weak at that state. Just farm and do not engage. Wait for level 4.

2. Save your skill 1, never use it to secure a kill unless they only have a few hp left and you wont die by a tower shot. Save it for esacpes.

3. Use your ultimate wisely and in the right time as it has a very long cooldown.

4. Always target the squishiest enemies first in a team fight or when fighting multiple enemies.

5. Don't get confident that you can take on everyone. Your ultimate could save you but it only lasts for 5 seconds. Never get cocky.

6. Remember that your passive allows you to deal more damage as your health gets lower. Use this knowledge to outmatch enemies in a 1 v 1.

7. Always go with an ally. Argus may seem to be capable of taking on multiple enemies but he, like all other heroes, is stoppable and killable.

8. Remember that Argus is weak at early game, never engage at that phase of the game. Also, he cannot solo a lane, he needs an ally to provide assistance in holding or defending that lane.

9. Argus is a more of a gank hero. He's not able to hold his own when he doesnt attack first. When his gank initiates a team fight, you must think carefully of whether to keep fighting or not. If you're confident enough, you can choose to try and wipeout the enemy, if not, go to the nearest lane and split push.

10. His build should be crit based since his passive allows him to have 2 crits consecutively and quickly.

Skills

Warmonger (Passive) – Taking ordealing damage will charge the demonic blade (the lower the health, the fasterthe charge). When fully charged, the next basic attack will be two quick basicattacks.

Opinion: This is a very nice passive specialized for fightingenemies. This passive will deal TONS of damage when Argus uses his ultimate ata low HP, since he won’t be able to die, allowing this passive to let Argus domore damage. This passive will also allow you to farm quicker since you will bedoing extra damage every so often.

Demonic Grip (Skill1)– Puts out a demonic hand at a targeted direction, dealing 175 physical damageto an enemy hero and moving to the front of the target on hit, then he can makea quick slash towards the enemy, dealing 125 physical damage. If it does nothit the enemy hero, he pulls himself to the location.

Opinion: This skill is amazing when it comes to chasing an enemyhero. Personally, this skill scares me when I play marksmen, since I won’t beable to get away quickly because most marksmen I play don’t have strong evasivemoves. This move is also good at escaping, since it drags you across a gooddistance instantly and able to pass through walls.

Meteoric Sword(Skill 2) – After a short period of charging, Argus strikes the enemy withhis demonic blade, dealing 400 physical damage, and making enemy bleed for 5seconds. Enemy under bleed effect leaves a blood trail, that grants Argus extramovement speed while he is moving on it.

Opinion: Again, this move is great. There will be times when theenemy hero tries to run away from you since they know they will die if theydon’t. This skill will deal tons of damage and gives you a movement speed boostjust incase the enemy hero tries to run. Simply amazing.

Eternal Evil (Skill3/Ultimate) – Transforms into a fallen angel and becomes immune to death for 5seconds, instantly recharging his blade for one time. 40% of damage dealt underthe spell’s duration will be converted to Argus’ health pool after conclusionof immunity.

Opinion: Every hero has a skill that makes them stand out fromothers. This ultimate is DEADLY. Do not use this move when you are at or abovehalf HP, time it perfectly and use it when you are at the lowest HP possiblefor maximum value. Since you cannot die for 5 seconds, you can tower dive, run,or even 1v5! Try not to get CC’ed since that will take away from your 5 secondimmunity.

Combos/Strategies
Some combos forArgus:

              Skill 1 - Skill 2 - Ultimate (if necessary)

              Use this combo when chasing or ganking anenemy. Skill 2 to deal extra damage to enemy hero and make them bleed. Useultimate if the enemy hero gets you low and you are about to die.

              Skill 2 - Skill 1 - Ultimate (if necessary)


              This is basically the same as the firstcombo but use this combo if enemy engages. Skill 2 for extra damage and bleed.Skill 2 if the enemy decides to run away after attacking you. Ultimate if youare close to dead.

            Ultimate - Skill 1
              
              Use this combo when trying toescape from one or multiple enemy heroes. Ultimate is not necessary if you arelow. Make sure you aim the skill 1 away from the enemy hero or through a wallso they can’t chase you.

              *Use basic attacks whenever you want inbetween these combos*


Strategies for:

Early Game – Go eithertop or bottom lane. Be passive and prioritize farming over kills/turrets. Farmlike crazy and out farm the enemy team. A good way to farm is to kill theminion wave, go kill a jungle monster (next minion wave should be coming), headback to kill minion wave, and repeat.

Mid Game – At thispoint, you should still be farming whenever possible. Ganking and helping yourteammates kill enemy heroes in their lane is also recommended. Deal damage toenemy heroes whenever you can, just don’t play too aggressive. Get yourteammate/s to help you kill the turtle to get more gold and exp.

Late Game – Now you areextremely strong and able to kill enemy heroes rather quickly. In team fightsor fights in general, aim for the marksmen since you are a good counter tothem. Do not attack tanks since it will take a long time for you to kill them. Pushturrets whenever you can. If you are not max build yet, farm while helping yourteammates.

Ganking – Argus isextremely good at ganking. Get your teammate to attack the enemy hero while youhide in the bushes to ambush them with your first and second skill. Do nottower dive unless the enemy hero is EXTREMELY low and you still have a decentamount of HP. Playing too aggressive will get you killed so refrain from towerdiving as much as possible.

Team Fights – Make sureyou stick with your teammates. Wait for your tank or charger to initiate anattack. Target the marksmen in the back in a team fight. Use your ultimate whenyou are low and keep attacking if your teammates are still alive and backingyou up. If your teammates are dead, run away and defend your base.


Spells






Retribution – It is extremely easy to unlock this skill. This willhelp you farm faster in the jungle and allow you to out farm your enemy team.

Purify – This skill would be helpful in 1v1s or team fights sinceit will remove all negative effects present, allowing you to fight withoutrestraint.

Flicker – This skill is a bit harder to get but is extremely goodwhen you want to chase or run away from an enemy hero.



                                                                        EmblemSets

              I would recommend using the:
·      Physical Emblem Set
·      Jungle Emblem Set
·      Roamer Emblem Set

*Use the set that has the highest level*


Argus And OtherHeroes
              
              Heroes to Be Wary Of – Aurora, Chou,Tigreal, Nana, and any other heroes with crowd control since they can totally makeyour ultimate useless.

              Heroes That Work Well With You – Aurora,Chou, Tigreal, Nana, and any other heroes with crowd control. Although crowdcontrol is your biggest weakness, it is also your strongest allies. They canstun the enemy opponents allowing you to deal massive damage to them andsometimes even kill them.

              Heroes That Can Escape From You – Fanny(obviously), Irithel, Natalia, Harley, Hayabusa and any other heroes that haveskills that give them mobility.
              

Build
Crit and Speed build:


              Rapid Boots – Unique: +50% movement speed.
              
              Scarlet Phantom – +30 physical attack, +40 attackspeed, +10 critical chance.
              
             Haas’s Claws – +70 physical attack, unique: +20% life steal, unique passive:When HP drops below 40%, the hero will receive an extra 10% physical lifesteal.
              

              Berserker’s Fury – +65 physical attack, +25% criticalchance, unique: +40% critical damage, unique passive: critical strikes willincrease one’s physical attack 5%, lasting 2 seconds.
              
              Windtalker – +25% attack speed, +20 movement speed, +20% critical chance,unique passive: After every 4 basic attacks, the next basic attack must deal 125magic damage to 3 enemies, unique passive: Each time Typhoon is cast, one’smovement speed will be increased 5% for a short time.
              
              Blade of Despair – +170 physical attack, +10%attack speed, unique passive: Deals an extra 10% damage to an enemy in anyabnormal state (stunned, knocked airborne, transformed, disabled).

Tips: Learn when to build different items instead of just goingalong with the build. For example, if there is an enemy healer, build DeadlyBlade to counter them. I would also recommend building Nimble Blade at the startof the game to farm quicker.

Other items such as Corrosion Scythe, DominanceIce, Magic Shoes, Bloodlust Axe, Hunters Strike, Immortality, Malefic Roar, WarriorBoots, and Demon Hunter Sword are also good with Argus and can beswapped with items in the build I recommended to you.  


Overall Summary
Argus is an extremely fun hero to play and can dominate in anytype of game if played correctly. I think Argus is one of the most unique (andcoolest looking) heroes in this game and can be a game changer. Not needingmana is also a huge advantage, allowing you to spam moves as much as you wantwithout running out of steam.

Some tips to keep in mind before you go dominate the game:
·      Don’t be toxic. Don’t get mad if your teammate feeds or doesn’t wantto be tank. You can always carry the team.
·      Think positively. Even if you are losing greatly, always believein a comeback. Don’t initiate surrender because there is always hope.
·      Be stress-free and have fun. Mobile Legends should be a game wherepeople have fun and enjoy playing it. Don’t think too much and don’t mind nerfstoo much. Play for the fun of it.

Argus [Nightstalker] GUIDE TO OBLITERATING THE ENEMY BASE

NOTE: This guide is focused on farming and pushing the enemy towers, and NOTlooking for kills around the map. This playstyle is for securing the objectives (taking down the enemy turrets one by one, and splitpushing through the enemy base).

Role - Fighter
Specialty - Charge/Burst damage

Attributes:
MoveSpeed: 260
Physical Attack: 124
Armor: 21
Magic Resist: 10
HP: 2628
Aspd: 0.916
HP Regen: 40

Pros:
-Has escape/initiation (Skill 1)
-High poke/burst damage from early game which can also be used to initiate (Skill 2)
-High splitpushing potential, and far better backdoor potential than any hero
-Able to tower dive and act as tank for the team
-Able to freely use skills as there are no mana costs for each skill casted.
-Having low health with active ult forces your enemies to use the Hero Lock mode. Without them using this, and having their aim set to 'lowest hp', Argus can act as a tank for the whole team for 5 whole seconds.

-Delay time of skills needs practice to be effectively used

SKILLS
Warmonger (Passive):
Taking or dealing damage will  charge the demonic blade (the lower the health, the faster the charge). When fully charged, the next basic attack will be two quick basic attacks.

-Because of this ability, I highly recommend that you lead the way for your minions tank the enemy minions while pushing to help charge the bar faster. Also, when planning on backdooring the enemy turret, time your turret hitting when the enemy minions are passing by the turret. During teamfights, try

Demonic Grip (Skill 1):
Puts out a demonic hand at a targeted direction, dealing 175 physical damage to an enemy hero and moving to the front of the target on hit, then he is able to make a quick slash towards the enemy, dealing 125 physical damage. If it does not hit the enemy hero, he pulls himself to the location.

-Your main initiation/escape tool. Be careful when using this skill to harass. The enemy might be baiting you to the nearby bush for a surprise gank! (Press the skill twice to blink on that location). Preferrably used from inside the bushes.

Demonic Blade (Skill 2):
After a short period of charging, Argus strikes the enemy with his demonic blade, dealing 400 physical damage and cursing the enemy for 5seconds. Moving under the curse effect will leave a curse trail that grants Argus extra movement speed while he is moving on it.

-Your main harass tool and surprise ambush from the bushes. Also pierces through minion waves, groups of heros, jungle monsters. When joining teamfights, use AFTER you have used your ultimate for maximum heal potential. This skill grants you movement speed to chase the enemy, but if you hit a tank, know when to run back since the enemy might be following up to help their teammate.

Eternal Evil (Ult):
Transform into a fallen angel, becoming immune to death for 5s. 40% of damage dealth under spell effect is converted to Argus' HP when the duration ends.

-Your bread and butter as Argus the towerdiver. This skill allows you to continue hitting the low hp turrets without worrying about death. May be used as a substitute to Purify to continue attacking after being CC'd.

Recommended Skill Build
Max skill 1 first. Take Ult whenever possible. Max skill 2 last.

Recommended Emblem
Roamer for ganking, chasing and splitpushing potential.

Recommended Battle Spell
Retribution for faster farming.

Recommended Item Build
-Start with a jungle knife. Take the buff before going to clear the first minion wave. Always jungle in-between minion waves. Use retribution to kill jungle monsters faster.
-Upgrade Jungle knife to tier 2 jungle item, preferably the sub-item of Raptor Machete for bonus attack. You may now use retribution on the enemy if planning to gank or run away from a gank by the enemy team.
-Warrior boots. You might be thinking you'd rather have Swift boots for faster turret destruction, but you will also need to have a form of 'tankiness' before reaching lvl 4, and to help your tank in taking some damage for your team's mm/mage. Note that you'll also probably jumping at the enemy mm/mage behind the enemy team so you two will be most likely fighting each other. Warrior boots help reduce the physical damage they deal to you.
-Haas Claws for cheap lifesteal. This item is cheap and consists of sub-items not higher than 600G. Worth to buy. You may contest that bloodlust axe has 10% CDR, but Argus' skills have really long cooldowns that even with the CDR, he'll only be able to lifesteal once every >9 seconds. Haas Claws is more reliable, and is more in sync with your passive. Endless Battle could work, but isn't that cheap.
-Magic Blade for damage with a hint of tankiness. This item gives magic resistance, and also a shield when your HP is low, helping you cast your ultimate before dying if the enemy has really high burst damage sources.
-Berserker's Fury which is in sync with your passive, being able to hit twice in a row every now which could proc crit is a huge physical burst. Your targetted mage/mm won't be happy with this. This item is also a good damage source for faster clearing the creep waves and turrets.
-Scarlet Phantom to faster destroy those turrets, charge your passive fast to strike twice every now and then even more, sync with BFury crits, heal yourself during ult... Getting this item allows you to destroy turrets for sure when the enemy team is busy 5-man pushing your base while your teammates do their best to defend.
-Sell jungle item for Malefic Roar. This further enhances your pushing potential. Armor penetration is also appreciated for dealing with the enemy tank (which you should be doing last after you've dealt with their mm/mage).

TIPS AND PLAYSTYLE
-With these items, emblem, and battle spell, you should always prioritize farming the minion waves and jungle.
-Try to stay away from teamfights as much as possible.
-Ganking is recommended. But as soon as it becomes a teamfight, you must weigh if you can win it with your team. If you are confident that you'll be able to wipe the enemy team, then go and fight. If not, then leave the fight and run to the nearest (or farthest, so the enemy would reconsider following you) enemy turret and destroy it as fast as you can.
-Low health turrets can be picked off and backdoor-ed using your basic attacks and ult. For High HP turrets, if you're low on physical damage, an effective alternative would be to farm the nearest jungle while waiting for your team's minions in order to be as stealthy as possible, trying not to attract any attention from the enemy team.
-As soon as your minion wave reaches the turrets attack range, first skill in from behind the turret (as to tank the enemy minions, not necessarily to tank the turret), and proceed to destroy and push.
