These amiable giants possess rocky skin that is almost impervious to all physical force, but due to their kind nature, they mainly use their physical prowess to sleep safely. These stony giants love sleeping so much that they will hibernate for up to half a year sometimes, but however once they are awakened, it is hard for them fall asleep again. One day when Grock awoke again, he found himself to be alone, the guardians of the fortress long gone. He proceeded to saddle the fortress onto his back to find the owners, setting out all over the Land of Dawn to find any news on their whereabouts, so he may one day return their home to them.

Mana Cost: 100

Note:
-Great gap closer
-Deals great damage when executed successfully! The target must be near a wall for that additional deadly explosive damage.
-Enemies you pass through when using the skill also gets bounced up a bit, delaying their movements a little, quite useful for team fights

StrategiesandCombos.jpg

Grock shines when chasing/ganking enemies "with team mates", he'll delay/halt enemy movements ensuring kills for the team, be careful though when to engage with your ultimate, make sure your allies are ready to followup after you, other wise if your enemy survives your combo you'll be a sitting rock and die.

Engage
-charge enemies when they are near a wall, using 3rd skill, your allies should have followed up after you, use 2nd skill right after to block their possible escape path, charge up your 1st skill as much as you can and smack em hard!

Pursuit
-Cast 2nd skill, aim to block off enemies' escape path
-Use your ultimate to charge to the enemy or cast sprint if it is in cooldown, aim to pass through enemies and bump your target near the walls  for best damage
-immediately hold and cast 1st skill while chasing, to finish of your combo

Protecting Allies
-Cast 2nd skill,to help enemies escape
-You can also close in using your 3rd skill and then use your 1st skill to slow enemies down
-try to stay close to walls as you protect your allies to maximize your passive and be able to protect your allies better

Delaying minions
-You can use your 2nd skill to delay your team's minions
-The purpose of this is so you'll making the enemies minions advance further than normal, near your turret, enemies will be a bit defensive here as if they get to close and hit you, your tower will hit them back
-this way, you'll be able to get gold faster than your opponents as the enemies will be forced to fight both you and your minions together later
-if the enemy backs to their tower, you and your allies should use this chance to poke their turrets!

Delay Lord / Make him change lanes
-creating a wall fully blocking of his path will make lord turn, look for an alternate route and change lanes!!
-this could be useful as you can delay lord's advance a bit while waiting for backup etc.

Combos
2 - 3 - 1 - Normal - Petrify
1 - 2 - 3 - Normal - Petrify

Partners.jpg

Allies that can maximize the use of your walls

Moscov, Akai

Allies with good escape skills
-a wrong wall may just wipeout your team, good partners world be those who can dish out good damage, and have an escape skill just incase they get blocked off walls

Hayabusa, Harley, Bruno, Kagura, Karrie, Yi Sun Shin, Clint, Natalia, etc.

Allies with good Burst damage
-have to be extra careful with your walls though

Aurora, Eudora, Vexana, Fanny, Karina, etc.

Enemies.jpg

Enemies that can cancel your skills
-Nana, Chou, Tigreal, etc

Enemies that can easily pass through walls
-Hayabusa, Harley, Bruno, Kagura, Karrie, Yi Sun Shin, Clint, Natalia,  etc

Conclusion.jpg

Grock is the first hero in the game that 'creates' an object in the map that everyone can interact with! minions, heroes, lord, Yup!

He is a really really fun hero to play with!

It would take a bit of time to master when and where to cast his 2nd skill but is really worth it as it has so much potential
This tank can really be a game changer when played well~

Hope my guide helped you get started with Grock!!
:)

Grock - The Fortress Titan

Before I jump into the guide, I have to say that I was about to finish it when my phone suddenly crashed T_T. And I had to write it once again...

Skills

Passive:Ancestral Gift
Increases his movement speed by 10%, and 26-180 physical and magical defense (imcreases with level) when Grock is near a wall or a turret.

My opinion: Its a very good passive as for a tank. It gives you movement speed and both armor and magic resistance every time you walk near a wall/turret. Try to maximize it as much as you can.

1st AbilityPower of Nature
Raises weapon to sweep nearby enemies, dealing 300 physical damage and slowing their movement speed for 2s. The longer he charges the higher the damage is.

My opinion: Very good ability for both dealing damage and slowing enemies down which helps in chasing or escaping. Charge it for as long as you can.

2nd AbilityGuardian's Barrier
Fires a shock wave towards a target's location dealing 300 physical damage. Then the shock wave becomes a stone wall that blocks enemies for 5s.

My opinion: This spell is the best for countering champions without gap closers. It can help you to initiate fights, chase enemies or to escape.

UltimateWild Charge
Charges forward, dealing 300 physical damage to enemies on the path. Hitting a wall or a turret allows him to deal 450 physical damage to the nearby enemies and reduce cooldown of this ability by 30%.

My opinion: One of the best Ultimates to initiate fights. Always try to collide with a wall or a turret for maximum effect. Remember that you can raise your own wall to collide with :)

As for the emblems go for Tank/Roamer emblem - Both are good. As a battle spell, take flicker for better initiations or when you need to get out of sticky situations.

Build
1. Rapid Boots
2. Cursed Helmet
3. Dominance Ice
4. Immortality
5. Demon's Advent
6. Oracle.

Few words about the build:
Rapid boots helps you to roam faster and allows you to maximize your passive. Cursed helmet is for better farming which is hard as a tank and helps with dealing additional damage to the enemy team. Dominance Ice solves mana problem, gives armor and cdr which synergizes with ultimate quite well. Immortality - You need it for the passive mostly, but HP it provides isnt that bad :) And that Magic Resistance! Demon's Advent makes you tanky as hell thanks to its passive. Oracle gives CDR that synergizes with Dominance Ice and Ult, and also regens 4% of your max HP whenever you get hit.

Now lets talk about an early game, mid game and late game.

Early Game
Buy the worst boots and take your first ability. Go bot lane and go for the red buff (give red buff to your adc). After that go to lane and clear a wave and do another jungle creep (these one close to ypur turret). Early game is all about getting fed and your job is to protect your adc with who you should be laning with. Also rember that you can use your wall to peel enemies whenever they try to attack you, or when you try to catch them. Early Game ends when either:
1. You/enemy destroyed first turrets
2. You got 3-4 core items bought.
After early game ends, starts....

...Mid Game
This is the part of the game where you will shine. Mid game is all about teamfights and getting objectives. When you try to initiate a fight, do it with your ultimate and try to collide with a terrain (Remember that u can collide with your own wall made by 2nd ability). When you see someone from enemy team cut of the group - go for him/her and kill him/her. Take someone with you tho :). After you've won a teamfight, go for:
1. An enemy turret
2. Lord
3. Turtle (turtle is as much worth as destroyed turret so keep that in mind).

Late Game
At this moment you should be fully built. At this point you can say you are a Fortress Titan. Late game is not much of a difference from mid game. The only difference is that you are solid like a mountain, and you (and your teammates) should focus on destroying enemy base. Absorb as much damage as you can and protect your carries at all cost!

And that would be it for the guide (my previous one was abit more detailed but Im afraid of crashing again so imma end it here). I can give you few final tips:

1. Moskov/Akai synergizes veeeery well with Grock's stone wall (moskov's stun/akai's ult).
2. When your carries got attacked - peel enemies off with your wall or an ultimate.
3. Always try to stick with one of your teammates - you're a tank not a carry.
4. Be steady like a rock!
5. Its all about having fun and I hope you will get that fun when playing Grock (I do at least).
