Once again, Mobile Legends released another new hero.
Edit: I have been using Gatot Kaca for quite a while now. Hence, I decided to revamp the strategy guide to better prepare players for high level ranked matches. Forget the cool down reduction build, it doesn’t work unless combination play is involved.
With the recent influx of overpowered heroes (Karrie for example), I purchased Gatot Kaca for 32000 battle points and tested the hero before writing this guide.
Gatot Kaca works as a tank initiator in group fights. With Avatar of Guardians (his ultimate), Gato Kaca throws himself into enemies and forces them to attack him with Unbreakable. However, it may take practise to perfect his skills combination due to animation delay and long cool down duration. Gato Kaca is not overpowered in our opinion but he is not too shabby either!
Cost
Gatot Kaca cost 32000 battle points or 599 diamonds.
For 32000 battle points, we consider Gato Kaca to be a little expensive for a tank hero.
Emblem
Choosing the correct Emblem plays an important role in ranked matches. Be sure to select the correct Emblem before starting the game.
Pros
+ Passive increases physical defence
+ Initiates and Engage well
Cons
– Animation delays
– Skill’s cool down duration
– Expensive
Edit: I edited majority of the item build and separated them into 3 categories namely Physical Defence, Magic Resistance and Norm (Normal). These are situational builds catered for draft matches where you select the most appropriate category based on your opponent’s hero selection.
Simply said, you should observing the following;

Skill Build
Blast Iron Fist
Your core damage output skill. Shatters the front ground, dealing magical damage to opponent and causing slow effect
Unbreakable
Gatot Kaca shouts loudly, forcing nearby enemies to attack him for 2 seconds. In the next X second, he counter attack with magical damage to enemies within the radius. If you played dota 2, this skill will remind you of Axe. It attracts all nearby enemies to attack him, creating openings for your team’s carry.
Avatar of Guardian
Gatot Kaca charges and jumps onto targeted area, knocking nearby enemies into the air for 1second and dealing magical damage. Enemy nearer to the centre of the target area is knocked into the air for longer time. Coupled with unbreakable, making it possible to catch 5 enemies at a go.
Steel Bones (Passive)
Converts 5% of lost HP to his physical defence, up to 500. Dealing damage to enemies with higher HP grants HP + X times HP of his physical damage
Conclusion
Gatot Kaca is a decent tank and initiates battle well. However, it will take practice to land hits on opponent due to his animation delay. We don’t recommend readers to purchase the hero due to the 32000 battle points price tag slapped on him. Minotaur (15000 battle points), Franco (749 tickets), Tigreal (299 tickets) and Akai (599 tickets) are cheaper alternatives you may want to consider instead. |
